I am from Vigo, in the green and beautiful Northwestern Spanish region of Galicia. I am a graduate in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Vigo.

I first became acquainted with Quantum Technologies during my thesis, where I analysed the security of a decoy-state Quantum Key Distribution system with sources that could be attacked to leak information to the outside.

My current work is on improving the distance to which MDI-QKD can be performed by using quantum memories that are almost available today. In particular, I aim to extend the analyses already done by groups in the University of Leeds and University of Dusseldorf to include finite-key scenarios, real-world scenarios with a finite number of decoy states, and scenarios with source imperfections, both in basis flaws and in information leaking.
