Thanks for your interest in the QCALL Open Day. The registered participants should have by now received the Zoom link to join the meeting (via an email from openday@qcall.uvigo.es). We are hoping to be able to livestream the event on youtube as well, in which case, it can be accessed at https://youtu.be/1pNekbHP-Nw.
The agenda for the event is as follows:
Time (BST*) | Activity |
4:00-5:00 PM | Public Lecture on Quantum Communications for All |
5:00-5:15 PM | General Q&A |
5:15-6:00 PM | Discussions in Breakout Rooms; Virtual Lab Tours |
* BST: British Summer Time
During the public talk, you can raise your questions via the chat feature. You can either send your question to everyone, in which case, all participants can see your question, or, if you prefer to remain anonymous, you can send your question to the session chair, Professor Marcos Curty:
The session chair will summarise all the questions in the chat and raise them during the general Q&A session. Throughout the talk, your microphone is by default muted. If you wish to raise your question in person, you can ask the Chair to enable your microphone. Alternatively, you can use the breakout rooms, right after the Q&A session, to have informal discussions with our team members, where you can mute/unmute your microphones on your own. There are five breakout rooms for further discussion around the following topics:
- QKD Security; novel protocols
- Satellite and free-space QKD
- Long-distance QKD
- Beyond QKD applications
- QKD Industry
In order to join a room, on your zoom panel, click on the “Breakout Rooms” (this may be under “More” options on your screen):
Then you can see the list of rooms; click on “join” to attend any room. You can always come back to the main room and choose a different breakout room:
We look forward to seeing you all on the day. We hope that you find this event useful.
